FIFA 18: Elite Player Ratings, Release Date and Top Features

, , No Comments
FIFA 18 will be coming on consoles and PC soon on September 29, and EA Sports have already revealed a lot of ratings for many game's elite players before the release of the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be featuring on the cover of the game for the first time, and the modes like Ultimate Team and The Journey will be back after success on previous titles.

As the same with FIFA 17, the Frostbite engine will run this year's edition. However, the engine can not run on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Switch, which means that these consoles will not have access to The Journey 2.

After winning a second consecutive UEFA Champions League title in the last season, Ronaldo's 94 rated card makes him the highest-ranked player in the game, but there are a lot of impressive stars who will make their returns to FIFA. Let's take a look at some of the top-ranked stars in various positions in the game and have a look at the top 20 highest-rated players in FIFA 18.

Ronaldo will be FIFA's highest rated player for the second year running after his side's league and Champions League double re-established his status as the world's finest player, and his FIFA avatar promises to reflect this talent.

EA Sports recently released a vedio of some of the elite players reacting to their ratings and public opinion, some were more satisfied with their appraisals than others. Except for the highest-rated players in the game, FIFA 18 will also have dozens of new Icon players, with many stars of the past having received three versions of their playing selves, as detailed by EA Sports.

Prime Icon players rank the highest in the game, such as the 97-rated prime Diego Maradona, the 98-rated prime Pele and the 93-rated Ruud Gullit, who was recently matched up against today's best by YouTubers Bateson87 and Gorilla.

As usual case in FIFA, the attacking players occupy the highest ratings on the platform, while the defenders and the goalkeepers take something of a backseat.

Four-time UEFA Goalkeeper of the Year Manuel Neuer comes in as the top ranked  goalkeeper with an impressive 92 rating, and Manchester United's David De Gea  also cracked the 90 mark.

Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi must be rated as 93 after the Ronaldo at the FIFA level, and his former Barcelona teammate Naima in his move to Paris after the Saint Germain was raised to 92 years old. Both of the two players are ranked among their highest statistics - Neymar and Messi's respective base cards rated at 92 and 89 in that regard, and YouTuber NepentheZ has broken the fastest player in FIFA 18.

The introduction of the Icons is a particularly big selling point for FIFA 18 - although these cards were already available for Xbox One players on FIFA 17 - and makes the Ultimate Team mode even more appealing.

The classic career mode and The Journey 2 - Alex Hunter's much-anticipated sequel, have also been a great concern since it was announced as features, and FIFA 18 seems to be the best edition.
