FIFA 18's Nintendo Switch Version Will Have An Exclusive Mode - The Local Seasons Mode

It has been a common knowledge for that now the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18 will not have the game's  The Journey mode on it because of the smaller console. However, even without The Journey, the game will have its own exclusive mode in the form of Local Seasons.

According to EA Sports, the Local Seasons is a mode that allows players who play the games on their consoles to be able to play against each other, even if they are not connected via the Internet. This even extends to 2 on 2 matches, so you can play with three other friends without having to worry about connecting to one another's console.

The Local Seasons mode will replace the FIFA 18 “The Journey” mode on the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18, which means that players will not be able to experience the beautiful cutscenes in the Frostbite engine that FIFA 18 and FIFA 17 have made the jump to in recent years. We also can not do the Alex Hunter’s story, but that is something, at least.

The players on the Nintendo Switch can still be able to access the game's Career Mode, but if you want to continue the story of Alex Hunter, you will have to buy the game on another console instead of buying the game on the Nintendo Switch.

Hopefully, with the work that EA Sports is putting into the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18, the studio will eliminate the shame from the third party game coming to the Switch, which is an afterthought or more testing area,  and instead make them be looked on more as an actual way to put more games on the Switch.

FIFA 18 will be available to play on September 29 this year for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch, so you can buy FUT 18 Coins on any platforms you choose.
