The Premier League is full of young talents, from Tottenham’s Dele Alli to Manchester City’s Leroy Sané, but you will need a very deep pocket to sign players like that on FIFA 18.
Let's take a closer look at the FIFA 18 Premier League best squad we have found:
GK: Joel Pereira (Manchester United) - If you’re looking for a young goalkeeper to pluck from the Premier League, there’s really only one option: Manchester United’s Joel Pereira. With the potential of 84 overall, shelling out €3.5m for him doesn’t seem unreasonable. 72 for reflexes and 74 for handling are his standout scores for now.
LB: Ben Chilwell (Leicester City) - He’s a fine all-rounder, with good dribbling skills that’ll serve him well when making overlapping runs around the edge of the penalty box. With a stamina stat of 77, and his speed, agility and tackling skills are all very good, his potential may hit 82 overall.
CB: Axel Tuanzebe (Manchester United) - Tuanzebe hasn’t played a single minute in the Premier League so far this season, but with 73 overall and the potential to hit 84, he’s a solid choice for any team looking to add depth in defence.
CB: Rob Holding (Arsenal) - Rob Holding’s sporadic appearances in Arsenal’s defence this season aren’t enough to convince Arsene Wenger to keep hold of him on FIFA 18; you can pick him up for just €5m, which is pretty good for a player who can reach 85 overall.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) - With 69 overall, he’s almost certainly played more than EA expected him to, but with 85 potential it’s worth getting him on the pitch. Like most modern full-backs he’s better going forward, with great pace and stamina. He’s a good bet if you’re looking for someone to play as a wingback.
LM: Charly Musonda (Chelsea) - The 20-year-old is one of the more developed players on this list, with 76 overall, potentially rising to 86, so he could slip straight into plenty of sides, doing damage from out wide with his pace and dribbling skills.
CM: Marko Grujić (Liverpool) - Grujić has struggled to make an impression since joining Liverpool in 2016. An offer of just under €6m should be enough to convince Jürgen Klopp to let him leave, and for your money you’ll be getting a tall, powerful presence for your midfield who could reach 85 overall.
CM: Harry Winks (Tottenham) - Tottenham will demand just over €10m for Harry Winks. His vision, composure, agility and ball control are excellent, while short passing of 81 makes him a crucial cog in the engine room. Build a team around him and he could eventually reach 86 overall.
RM: Marcus Edwards (Tottenham) - He has the potential to hit 87overall, the 18-year-old wide man is one of FIFA 18’s most promising players. As with most wingers that age, his physical stats are the ones that stand out most right now.
CAM: Angel Gomes (Manchester United) - At just 16 years of age it’s very difficult to predict whether Manchester United’s Angel Gomes can go on to fulfill the promise he’s shown playing for the club’s academy teams. EA’s scouts reckon he can hit 89 overall, and for around €900K you can buy him.
ST: Edward Nketiah (Arsenal) - With just 59 overall and 60 for finishing, the 18-year-old striker is pretty mobile, with good stats for agility, balance and positioning.
