EA Sports developers must be sick to death of hearing the same questions each time when there is a new game coming out regarding indoor mode, or some form of 5-a side variation of the game being provided to us in the new title, as every year on social media and forums, the game players are crying out for the glorious days of FIFA 97 and 98, where as if they showed their hand with that game mode too soon.
In fact, I know they are disgusted with this because I have raised this question in person for many times while playing an early version of the new FIFA Coins game, but what I have been told was that it would require a game engine and player AI all of which were their own , While EA Sports are choosing to invest that time and effort elsewhere.
However, the people want it, and EA Sports know they want it, which is why footage from the Gamescom expo in Germany where gamers are playing FIFA 18 is particularly exciting. The clip [via r/FIFA] clearly shows that someone was playing a shortened version of football, 2v2 in this case, on a street football pitch that looks nearly identical to what we saw in the FIFA Street re-boot of 2013.
So it clearly suggests that FIFA STREET will be a part of FIFA 18 in some way or another.
Needless to say, it makes a lot of FIFA players excited, but rumors have been circling that it's just a part of the new and improved 'The Journey' mode, which is a single game story that hopes to build on a debut season that ultimately flattered to deceive.
This is very reasonable, because they need to put new things into this does not participate in the game or training mode, and has not yet revealed the new features of FIFA 18. You have to hope that if they can put it on the The Journey, they can treat it as a mini game too.
That's all what we asked for. A smaller version of FIFA where we can choose the players we use.
